If you are a 4th, 5th or 6th grader looking for
some creative outlets for your “crafty ideas”, then
St. Mary’s Craft Club is just for you! Craft Club meets
the 2nd Wednesday of each month during recess.
We help you create super neat things to decorate your room, your
house or to give as gifts. Making new things with your classmates
is a great way to have fun and get to know one another.
For more information, contact Lee Hyde
at 853-5165.
To promote Christian faith
and academic excellence
while nurturing the gifts
of each child.
For
the past 18 years, Janet Collmer has been the dedicated and
tireless leader of Stamp Club at St. Mary’s School.
Stamp Club usually meets two times a month during
recess. The students work on projects, enter contests
(once winning a cover of the Texas Philatelic Magazine), play
educational games with stamps and learn more about this hobby.
In February the class usually makes Valentines
with heart stamps and sends them to the VA Hospital in Syracuse.
The stamp club is sponsored in part by
the Utica Stamp Club and works in conjunction with Sister
Jane of St. Margaret’s House in New Hartford.
Donations of commemorative or other stamps
that might appeal to the children (cartoon characters, flowers,
sports etc., are graciously accepted.
To donate stamps or for more information,
please call Janet Collmer at 853-5109.
